Old Photos

These are some old photos I have collected over the years will post more including photos of the old Lighthouse and the storm of 1993.

Cabo 1910

Flood 1939 at this time Cabo was located at the Yemicamu (local Indians name where two waters meet) actually it was located on the arroyo by Club Casadas. After the town was washed away the locals rebuilt their homes where the center of Cabo is today.

Trading Post  which still exists and is the Goldrina Restaurant

The oldest building in Cabo San Lucas

Photo Cabo 1953 you can see the Church on Avenida C S Lucas and the old road to San José

The old Hacienda Hotel in 1968 you can see the air strip, the Cannery is Operational, The Finisterra Hotel is built but not the size today as it was expanded in the early 1990 but Terra Sol does not exist

The following shot is an aerial view you can see there is nothing constructed on the beach, the Marina does not exist , actually it is fresh water then where the Marina is now. Notice the Air strip before the old Hacienda Hotel is built. This is where John Wayne, Phil Silvers, Bing Crosby and Deise Ornez used to fly into for their fishing trips. They also built the first Hotel here named Laz Cruces, it was a private hotel on the East Cape and it still exists and still private.
